I make Kydex holsters and need to have a website.  I'm looking to build the site myself to save some $.  I don't need anything real fancy but I do need a shopping cart feature.

So, does anyone know a decent website, software, etc to build my own?

Thanks for the help.

I'm an amatuer web developer since 1996.

Just last week i opened my first online business.

I normally would have just writen the code myself in html, javascript and did all my graphics in photoshop. But my partner needs to be able to easily add items etc.

I went with Wordpress.org , its a prefabbed content management system. You can set it up and download themes and modify them to suit your needs.
Theres plugins for it that integrate shopping carts etc.: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-e-commerce/

my business using wordpress is at http://www.jrdiscountgolf.com

You want something super easy with built in shopping cart software and an already setup back end that is ready to setup for credit card processing? Something that you can have up and running in a day and is one of the most used online store applications?

Opencart all the way for all of your shopping cart needs.

Free, very easy to use, doesn't require much work to set up.

Host in on a good host and you are good to go. Maybe a WP blog as your homepage?
