Working with a guy to put together a financial newsletter, and he's looking for a free graph showing the way the price of gold has moved around in the past 40 years.  I'm coming up with very, very little to help him.  Anyone have any idea where I could find such a thing?

Thanks.

Thanks again.  I'd been using google and must've just been hitting all the wrong keywords.  I kept getting page after page of gold charts for every year going back 40 years, but none of all the years.  I'll save that link.

Dow, adjusted for inflation:

The Dow, adjusted for inflation, is at 1966 levels.

Gold, in comparison:

Note also that chart only goes to 2006, gold is now at $1040 in current dollars.

As for fools, absent speculation, tell me what drives the price of gold higher or lower?
