I installed truecrypt before to protect my HDD. I deleted my partitions. Made new ones and truecrypt is there after reformatting all of the new partitions!

How do I completely remove this?! I don't want my drive encrypted anymore.

Are you trying to uninstall the application, remove an encrypted container, or remove an encrypted partition?

Why not?  I've thought about doing this, is there a reason not to?

It slows things down such as file transfers and I don't need that on this computer anymore.

It's still on my HDD on the startup of it and I need/want it removed.

Uninstall the program.  Start -> settings -> control panel -> add and remove programs.

If you "formatted a drive" with trucrypt, then the only way to complete "remove" it is to reformat the drive with the Windows tool that pops up when you right-click over the drive in question.

How would I do this since the HDD was already formatted and it's the only HDD in the notebook?

I am familiar with revo uninstaller. What do I have to do with revo uninstaller to fix this problem so it stops asking for my password every time on boot up through truecrypt?

Download any of the many USB stick freedos or linux images and use a fixmbr command from there.

You can also use debug or DD or any "low level" formatting utility.

I just downloaded the newest version of revo uninstaller. How do I get it to list what is in the MBR so I can delete the parts I don't need?
