What was the story there? Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams gave up the winning homerun to Joe Carter in the 93 series against Toronto. After the game he got all kinds of death threats. Even his wife and kids. It was not a shining moment for Philly fans. It wasn’t nearly as classy as booing Santa, or the five year old that messed up the National Anthem. |

I grew up in S. Jersey and am a lifelong Philly sports fan. One of my best friends growing up had a job for a while with the Phillies (we used to joke that he was the George Castanza of the Phillies ) He used to go out drinking with the Philly Phanatic.
