I'm not a Phillies fan, but I'd rather see them repeat than the Yankees winning.

Pretty cool. They have an offensive machine. That is for sure.

Bullpen seemed good tonight and Lidge seems to be getting better. Its going to be whoever can out hit who. Both teams can hit the ball, but Im looking for my hometown team to take it 2 years in a row.

What was the story there?

Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams gave up the winning homerun to Joe Carter in the 93 series against Toronto. After the game he got all kinds of death threats. Even his wife and kids. It was not a shining moment for Philly fans. It wasn’t nearly as classy as booing Santa, or the five year old that messed up the National Anthem.

You guys should have seen the scene here in Center City last night.  Random people high-fiving each other on the street, horns blaring, etc.

Now on to defeat the Evil Empire ...

Seriously, the only way it could be more boring would be if it was NYY vs. NYM.  I already don't really care about baseball.  This just seals the deal for the rest of the season.

I grew up in S. Jersey and am a lifelong Philly sports fan.  One of my best friends growing up had a job for a while with the Phillies (we used to joke that he was the George Castanza of the Phillies )  He used to go out drinking with the Philly Phanatic.

God bless the Phillies!

This series will be a lot like the last election.  A lot of people will be holding their noses and cheering for the Phillies.

Mitch Williams has long been forgiven of his sins.

And as far as "classy" fans. Please. NO city has them.

And Santa got off easy.

Now...let's talk '86 and Bill Buckner....
