I win over a lot of people by asking interviewers questions. How do you like working here? What do you dislike about working here? What's the turnover rate? etc. I've tried that once last year. Did not get called back. I was asking all about benefits and stuff, because I was trying to show that I wanted a long term career. I recently took a resume writing class put on by the state and the guy said NOT to ask shit like THAT because it make you sound like a leach and you should only be saying what you have to offer. I did another interview early this week and I asked a couple questions and I immediately felt like I blew it. I asked about the legality of something he mentioned. It either made me sound stupid, or like a whistle blower. IMO. My plan for this interview is just to stay quiet and only answer what they ask. |
