If "we" cut the welfare, Acorn re-distribution, and researching cow farts, how much money could we save?

About 45% of the Federal Budget are the so-called "Entitlement" programs.
What do you mean by "Cut". Do you mean reduce the rate of growth, do you mean reduce (in real terms) the amount we spend, or do you mean eliminate? Because in DC, a "cut" in "Entitlements" is a reduction in the rate of growth. |

depends on whether you're talking about cutting deficit growth, or talking about actually eliminating the deficit
For example, if you wanted to eliminate the deficit altogether, the quickest way to do it would be to stop ALL funding for the department of defense for 26 straight years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
