Did you know Dish Network has a channel that is live feed from a camera on one of their installed on one of their satellites pointed at earth? I had Direct TV for years and just switched to dish. Thought it was pretty cool. Good tunes too cool story brah |

Imagine watching it and seeing a bigass meteor headed in.Whatcha gonna do. Hope it hits on the other side of Earth, that'll give ya a couple of hours to - umm ummm ummmm well - drink that bottle of Crown, yeah that's it. Actually the Dish Earth scene projection updates once every 15 minutes - but still. |

Sounds cool as hell. I'm on Direct. Any chance someone has a vid of it up somewhere just to watch? It'd be interesting to see it from the satellite's prospective. Whats Nasa TV? Live earth shots? channel 283 they have live feeds from the ISS and shuttle launches |

Not to worry. Townami is correct. Dish Earth is kinda cool for about a day then poof. I'm looking at it this way - it's a pic from a satellite pointed at the same spot on Earth 24/7/365 from a humongous altitude of 22 thousand miles. It does get kinda boring after a very short period of time. However it is neat till you get bored..... |
