I want to take my wife and son to a TB Rays game before the season ends. What is the best way to buy the tickets? They want $55-$210 each plus surcharge on the MLB site. I have seen other sites where people buy and sell tickets. Anyone recommend any?

I haven't been to a MLB game since I was a kid. I have never bought tickets as an adult. Seating suggestions? Parking?

classifieds for event tickets, they take a portion of the sale and guarantee you'll get your tickets from the seller.  I've done a lot of business with them over the years.

if possible first tier, preferably behind homeplate or along the first or third base line.  Some folks are fans of outfield seats... cheaper and you have a chance at a home run ball, I prefer infield seats so you can see the action at the plates.

I can't fathom spending $200+ to watch a bunch of whiny sissies swing a stick while paying a 600% markup on the food just to be surrounded by a sea of similarly retarded humans.

Pack a picnic basket and head to the park or head to the range or something.

$300 will by a used gun or a good number of bullets.

I paid $34 for 4 Cubs tickets vs. the Brewers this past Monday via Stubhub. It is pretty awesome.

Unless you are talking a major market team like the Yankees or Red Sox or a team that routinely sells out, you will never need to pay that much regular season.  Alas, my team is the Yankees and tickets routinely run that high.

The last time I went to a Rays game I paid $8 for my ticket. We weren't that far from 1st base either.

Course this was in 2006 before all the hooplah.

Be careful.
There are plenty of bogus/counterfit tickets sold.
I buy mine from the teams website and pay on-line.
The last game I went to, they emailed me the ticket which included a bar code. When you arrive at the game, they scan your cell-phone (with the barcode/email). You don't even have to worry about having a paper ticket.

Tell me about parking. I live 2 hrs away from the stadium.

Going to the Dodgers-Rockies game in LA in October. Taking my wife and in-laws.

Going to be a guest of FOX Sports and will be in their sky box.

I nearly piss myself every time I think about this.

Oops.

Go to the stadium. Have some cash in hand to barter and buy some tickets off of those selling tickets. Memorize or become familar with the stadium so you can mentally tell where the tickets are located at.

OR

Go to the ticket window of the day of the game and get tickets that way.
