Hell, the space shuttle was designed with state of the art stuff, 35 years ago. It's not like they redesigned the avionics just because somebody came out with a new CPU in 1983. After reading this and reflecting back on that time it is a wonder that we made it to the moon multiple times. It got done because our government hired a lot of very smart men who not only were super smart but had balls of steel. That's how we dominated the world in the 1960's. Times change. Now the government is a great big collection of retards driving the fail train straight to hell.
