Hope this isn't a dupe..
All I can say is WOW!!! Washington, D.C. - On September 25th there will be a national prayer gathering of Muslims on the west front of the U..S. Capitol Building. They are expecting at least 50,000 to attend from mosques all across America. They will gather to pray from 4:00 AM until 7:00 PM. The gathering will take place by the site where U.S.. Presidents have been inaugurated since 1981. The organizers say that it was Obama's inauguration speech in January and his speech broadcast from Egypt in June that gave them the idea for this prayer gathering on Capitol Hill.

| As long as they don't decide to become shahids,I don't have a problem with it.It doesn't bother me how many gather,nor where and how long as long as they are peaceful and respectful as it's well within their rights,same as it would be for Jews,Christians,Hindus or atheists. |

Last time I checked, our nation does not discriminate against religion, and the Muslims are certainly not the first religious group to gather on Capitol Hill. If they want to gather there, so be it. Isn't their a gathering on the 12th in Washington D.C.? Yep there sure is freedom of religion. I mean I know there are others who have had marches ie; the civil rights march but that was the monument.. So has any religous (I stress religious) group ever done this? |
