Not a lot of responses under the movies forum, so I'll move it to CD
Saw the opening battle sequence of this civil war movie on youtube, an independant film about the Civil War Battle of the Wilderness, and was quite impressed. The chaos, confusion and sense of desperation of individual men in the battle seem well projected to me. I was also intrigued and would like to see the rest of the film. For $9.99 on Amazon, looks good to me. I am not one who requires amazing acting or special effects, to me historical accuracy is more important than big hollywood names. I prefer gritty down to earth productions that tell a story about what happened as opposed to complicated plots and surprise subplots it seems no hollywood offering can be without. "Tell it like it was" if you will. So...Opinions on this movie? Worth a buy or not? |
