 Tonight's dinner was pizza margherita, a traditional Neapolitan pizza consisting of a traditional marinara sauce made with tomatoes, extra-virgin olive oil and fresh basil; sliced fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh oregano. It was baked in a preheated 550-degree oven, on a pizza stone until it just looked right.  Romanian SAR-3 chambered in 5.56 X 45mm NATO loaded with 55gr JSP Brown Bear (Barnaul). Cascade Premium Light, a beer brewed in South Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Caesar Salad with sun-dried tomatoes, croutons, an Italian three-cheese blend and BACON. The star of the show, pizza margherita. An AK74 bayonet from the Izhmash arsenal, with matching Izhmash scabbard. This was acquired at a bazaar on Kirkuk Regional Air Base / FOB Warrior for $15. I didn't even bother negotiating. Bulgarian Makarov loaded with 94gr JHP Silver Bear (Barnaul).  Doesn't the color of that Cascade Premium Light just look beautiful? This is an outstanding Summer beer, great for drinking on days like this!  Unfortunately, this is the second of two bottles brought to me by my wife's aunt who lives in Australia. Sadly, 99 Bottles in Federal Way, WA does not sell this. James Boag's, another Aussie brew, is very similar. Well, that hit the spot! <burrrrrrrrrrp!> |
