I am working on my 10/22 and wanting to take the ugly gray powder coat paint off the receiver and barrel. There is stuff in a spray can that makes the paint bubble off to where you can scrape it off with your fingernail. I think its called Aircraft ______________

What is the name of it and can it be found at AutoZone?

Also, while I am at Autozone, recommend me a can of brake cleaner for cleaning my guns.

Non chlorinated brake cleaner will work on the metal parts. Keep it away from plastic stocks ect..

It's the same thing as Gun-Scrubber pretty much. I would think it would also soften the paint on the reciever so you could scrape it off.

That will take the powder coat paint off? Is it available at Wal-Mart?

Hmmm... Easy off isn't working. It also appears that it likes to mildly eat aluminum (what my receiver on my 10/22 is made out of). It also seems to do a kind of anodization to the aluminum. Quite fascinating, maybe I should give that Aircraft stuff a try
