Good, great, or shitty?
I know there are inconsistencies throughout, but dammit I like this movie. Yes, I'm tanked and watching it now.

Would be awesome if editied down to about 45 minutes. Also they could have killed Goose in a much more realistic way than hitting the canopy during ejection. ETA voted Op is a homo, but only cause you made it an option. ![]() Like I said it was unrealistic. There is nothing better than self deprecating humor in my book.

Is it bad that I'm watching the volley ball scene as I post this?

Brilliant analysis. However, I think the last line was "You can be my wingman anytime..." Although, the meaning is clear. |

I still vividly remember watching "Top Gun" in the theater back in 1986 when I was 7. It had a huge effect on me. No, I didn't grow up to become a naval aviator, but it did spark a life-long fascination with all things military. My friends say it is chock full of homosexual innuendo. If it is, it went way over my head in 1986, and even today I can't really see it (for the most part). |

I do remember it becoming such a phenom, that they started setting recruiting tables outside of some theaters .

When the F-14 got into a flat spin, the canopy when jettisoned just hung over the aircraft, and the pilot and RIO ejected right into it. |

I always assumed that scene was meant for the ladies in the audience, not the fellas. |

Hey, if it turned you on then you might want to talk to some one about it. Maybe in Frisco or West Hollywood?
