Quoted: Phoenix just finished its hottest month in history (going back to 1896). Average temp for all of July was 98.3F. But that followed the coolest June since 1913, so I guess it all evens out. I remember a couple of years ago, when the news was all abuzz about it being the hottest month on record around here. It hovered around 90-98 every day, edging to 100-101 a couple times. While they were talking about that, I was remembering a summer in the early '90s when it topped 100 every day for a week, same area. I don't believe anything they say. |
