[ARCHIVED THREAD] - rust removal

Left Hanson tap and die set out in the elements.Need to remove surface rust;also need to derust 2 cast iron skillets.Advice?

I used Nevr-Dull on stainless rails on the boat in a saltwater environment. Cleaned it up really well.

Will even work inside the threads with no abrasion necessary?Rust just falls off or us this phosphoric acid?

It is phosphoric acid. It is recommended that surfaces should be prepped prior to application, i.e., scraping, brushing, etc.

That would work on the cookware but not on the tap and die components.
