We have these here in GA at WalMart.  We have to buy food when I am on duty and the mart is the only Grocery store in my district.

I have been using this service quite a bit, much more so than Blockbuster.  As part of the requirement is a email addy, I get spam from them.  New releases and such.

The other day, for some reason, I couldn't get the movie I wanted. Oh well.

I got this a few minutes ago:

Our records show that you may have had some
issues during a recent transaction at redbox. Providing you with an easy and
reliable rental experience is our goal, but in this case it looks like redbox
may have fallen a little short.

Redbox wants you to know that we are
working hard to prevent these kinds of problems and would like a chance to make
this up to you. Here's one FREE night's rental on us.

Please visit your local redbox and enter
the promo code xxxxxxx for a FREE one night's rental.

This is not the first 'freebie' I have gotten from them either.

Pretty good way to keep customers happy.

They are good, I think McDonalds started this up, and it is at Walgreens, Winn Dixie, etc now.

I love red box.  The email address isn't required, though.  You can just skip that.  But if you've already given them yours....

how did they know you had problems? The box doesn't ask me for my email address unless I actually rent a movie...

Giving your email address use to be optional...I haven't gotten a movie from Redbox in a while, though. According to my sister, her debit card info was stolen by someone processing the information from a  Redbox in Roanoke (TX) several months ago. She has $1800 in fraudulent charges on her card that still aren't cleared up. I have no idea how they found out how the thief got the card info.

I love the red box too.

Even better reserving it online.  Sucks though waiting in line sometimes while people try to pick what they want to see (especially when dropping off).  They should have two slots.  One for pick-up and the other for return.

I ordered a red box on line since all I have to do is drive up and check out. I went to the Red Box and swiped my card but it did not recognize my card. WTF?

So, I went to another box and rented from there. I called Red Box and told them to not charge my card since I could not retrieve my movie. Well come to find out per the Red Box CS line I went to the wrong Red Box on that street. She could not refund my card but did send me 2 free movie rental codes via email. You cannot beat that.

The only issue is the limited selection. It is where I spend my money though.

I use Red Box exclusively.

Google "Red Box codes" for plenty of freebies.

Enjoy it. I give them another year before they've got to raise prices or shut down.

The movie companies hate Redbox

This wasn't quite the "red, blue, brown boxing" type 2600 era shit I was I was expecting.

I like RedBox as you can return the movies to any location.  I can rent a movie in MD and return it the next day when I return home to Va.

I use it but I wish they would expand their selection.
