We have these here in GA at WalMart. We have to buy food when I am on duty and the mart is the only Grocery store in my district. I have been using this service quite a bit, much more so than Blockbuster. As part of the requirement is a email addy, I get spam from them. New releases and such. The other day, for some reason, I couldn't get the movie I wanted. Oh well. I got this a few minutes ago: Our records show that you may have had some This is not the first 'freebie' I have gotten from them either. issues during a recent transaction at redbox. Providing you with an easy and reliable rental experience is our goal, but in this case it looks like redbox may have fallen a little short. Redbox wants you to know that we are working hard to prevent these kinds of problems and would like a chance to make this up to you. Here's one FREE night's rental on us. Please visit your local redbox and enter the promo code xxxxxxx for a FREE one night's rental. Pretty good way to keep customers happy. |
| Giving your email address use to be optional...I haven't gotten a movie from Redbox in a while, though. According to my sister, her debit card info was stolen by someone processing the information from a Redbox in Roanoke (TX) several months ago. She has $1800 in fraudulent charges on her card that still aren't cleared up. I have no idea how they found out how the thief got the card info. |

I ordered a red box on line since all I have to do is drive up and check out. I went to the Red Box and swiped my card but it did not recognize my card. WTF?
So, I went to another box and rented from there. I called Red Box and told them to not charge my card since I could not retrieve my movie. Well come to find out per the Red Box CS line I went to the wrong Red Box on that street. She could not refund my card but did send me 2 free movie rental codes via email. You cannot beat that. The only issue is the limited selection. It is where I spend my money though. |
