PC was running fine, no new software or hardware installs.  It started running slow so I rebooted.  It gave me the blue screen of death with something close to:  "AP Boot Log Failure."  I put the drive in my other PC and it did the XP scan and checked out OK (I was able to view contents of the drive).  I put it back in PC 1 and about a week later the blue screen showed back up.  Am I dealing with a virus that is corrupting my boot files?  I have Trend Micro that I have scanned the drive with, I have used spybot.

Any suggestions?  Could hardware componet (ie hard drive) be in the process of failing?  Please help!

it did the XP scan

can you elaborate on that.
Is the Os on your problem drive vista? If your hard drive was failing, it would probably have long read/write rates and would be making alot of noise.

idk But if you think its something like that i would try to boot up os on the problem drive and run hi-jack this. Then post a log.
