PC was running fine, no new software or hardware installs. It started running slow so I rebooted. It gave me the blue screen of death with something close to: "AP Boot Log Failure." I put the drive in my other PC and it did the XP scan and checked out OK (I was able to view contents of the drive). I put it back in PC 1 and about a week later the blue screen showed back up. Am I dealing with a virus that is corrupting my boot files? I have Trend Micro that I have scanned the drive with, I have used spybot.
Any suggestions? Could hardware componet (ie hard drive) be in the process of failing? Please help! |

it did the XP scan
can you elaborate on that. Is the Os on your problem drive vista? If your hard drive was failing, it would probably have long read/write rates and would be making alot of noise. Am I dealing with a virus that is corrupting my boot files?
idk But if you think its something like that i would try to boot up os on the problem drive and run hi-jack this. Then post a log. |
