I love tiger lilies.  No, silly, not the group, the flowers.  This week is looking pretty good for me, hope everyone else has a good one too.

I took the day off so as to have an extended weekend.

Maybe I'll get drunk at 11:00 AM.

Well, I'll admit some mornings are better than others, but my theory is that any day above ground is a good one.

Umm, back in my sporting days, I thought a late morning beer buzz and an afternoon nap were among the best of guilty pleasures.  Such a simple decadence.

I just commented to my wife yesterday as we were driving home from Kansas City how pretty the tiger lillies looked alongside the highway.    Made the trip go by faster.

Hope you had a good Independence Day, Janie, and a great upcoming week.

Orange lilies grow wild along the roadside in this part of Virginia.  People around here call them "ditch lilies".  I don't know if they're actually tiger lilies - they don't have the darker markings on the petals -  but they're pretty just the same, I think, and as you say, they definitely add interest to the ride.
