Wish me luck. Gonna be a long day.

ETA: Alright, all done.

The pics don't do much justice. The Mothers Cone was full of win. It took dull, bland chrome and made it gleam like glass. Fairly durable and fits in almost any corner or crevice of any shape. I used to Mother Chrome polish and it made a noticeable difference. Overall, it took me about 5 hours, but It looks like a completely different car. I'm in love with it all over again.

BEFORE

AFTER

Wax applied. I used McGuire's Paste wax. Supposed to be pretty good stuff. I thought it did great. Again, the pics do no justice. Easy on, fairly easy off. I didn't wait long enough for the wax to be completely dry so it gummed up my buffer bonnet. The good news is Wally doesn't sell or didn't have any replacements. So I will go back and give it a polish with a new one as soon as I find one.

And all done. Some finished pics.

Something for you GET OFF MY LAWN types.

Looks like someone made a stop at O'Reilly Auto parts, or other such stores.

Wally for everything except the Power Cone, which I got for an unbelievably low price of $24.99 at O'Reilly's.

A phone call to a mobile detailer, a lawn chair, and a 12 pack of beer would probably be cheaper than that pile of gear in OP.

Wouldn't it probably be cheaper to get professionally done instead of going out and buying all that stuff?

I called. It was $160. All this was just over $80 and I can do it more than once.

Plus, I love working on ma car now that I have a driveway.

Very nice, its good that you spend the time to wax your car, it should hopefully keep the paint in better condition for a longer time.

I'm telling you that the pics make it look funky.

I think part of the problem is the second set where they look hazy is cause the camera auto flash came on.

Actually, I'm in Prairie Village now. I just haven't changed my state.

Are you from the American part of Johnson county or the Spanish part?

Looks good. Lots of work I know...... but I have one word for you............. ZAINO

I used it on my truck and the wife's Yukon (both white) about 2yr ago and they both look great after a wash. BLEW ME AWAY. It was a lot of work, but they looked incredible after and still look really good. Makes the paint feel as soft and smooth as a baby's butt with lotion on it. My neighbor done her black Vette and it looks amazing.
