Why did they attach the tank with full packs? My uunderstanding was that one would drop your pack when staging an attach for increased mobility.

The pack must have been heavy for that SWAT guy to get so damn tired.

That whole show was LOOK HOW COOL WE LOOK IN OUR GEAR! That is why they wore the packs -- they got free gear.

I may be wrong here, but it was my impression that the packs were an essential part of the laser system that was attached to the M4s the guys were using.

You understand correct. Don't pay any attention to the tactics or anything they were doing for that matter, cuz it was all shit.
