Went to the range today to shoot my new Ruger MarkIII, I was very happy with the results (I've only been shooting for about a year)

Bad news is that I had a hot spent shell casting fly up my face, landed in between my glasses and cheek...nice little burn.

Nope, no smoke and mirrors here, what you see is what it is.

The only big flyer is the one about 2:00.

Good shooting. I cant believe you went through 400 rds. I would've lost patience at about 40 rounds and started jerking the shit out of the trigger just to hear the bang.

I had another 100 rds with me but I was hot and my hands were beginning to sweat.

Not bad day for about 25$

I'd get bored shooting 400 rounds at the same piece of cardboard...I applaud you for your patience.

Most of my pistol shooting is done at steel these days...I like the audible/visual feedback from metal targets (spinners and steel plate for .22 and wire hung steel plate for 9mm).

He didn't buy the ammo from cheaper than dirt so he was okay.

I had a paper target stapled to the cardboard backer, The target was pretty much gone.

I applaud your patience, with my mk1 after a half a box of 550 I called it quits because my thumb was so sore. I do like going to the range and spending $7.00 to scratch the itch rather then $80.00 for the rifle.
