Since Obama has wrestled himself into a 60% GM ownership position, then I reckon it was he who filed.

They could have held their debt in abeyance, deregulated their entire industry (yes, including safety standards), and let the chips fall where they may afterwards. As it is, it's still not going to work. For the same reasons Soviet cars universally sucked. |

| The "gubermint" can't even straighten out its own house, and now they are going to straighten out someone elses'. If you ask me, the "U.S. gubermint" is also broke, technically anyways. Anybody want to start a "dead pool" on how long "gubermint motors" will survive? |
