To anyone in the Las Vegas area or visiting the SHOT Show Feb 2-5, Frontsight is hosting a FREE subgun course Feb 2,3 and they have invited anyone from AR15.com to attend. What this includes: • Uzi Submachine Gun, ammunition, food and beverage are provided free of charge! • A full day of submachine gun training from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM under the guidance of Front Sight’s exceptional staff while using our 9mm submachine guns! • Free food and beverages throughout the entire day – continental breakfast and late lunch. For more information, check out: Frontsight We'll be there an invite anyone here to attend. |
| Maybe we could we get a roll call on who's going to be there and set up an afterhour social. For those who have not been to the Shot Show and want to see it all; you will need all four days. I will be taking Sunday afternoon off to watch the Superbowl, which will be cutting into my time at the show. Perhaps we could set up a Superbowl party somewhere, with "Hello my name is..." tags and all. |
|
Quoted: I'll be at the SHOT Show, If possible I'd like to break away for a day and meet up with you guys. The free SubGun course sounds SWEET! Sounds totally sweet and awesome...if I can't make it to the free subgun course I'll flip out like a ninja...Subgun course = REAL ULTIMATE POWER! |
|
Quoted: Sounds totally sweet and awesome Oh it is...it is! Don't miss that subgun course! Many have seen it, for those who haven't, here's my trip to Front Sight's subgun course... http://www.angelfire.com/az2/zr1/fs.html It's about a 1MB file, sorry for the popup ads, and turn your speakers up... |
|
Ed and I will be hitting the subgun course I believe on Sunday. I'm real excited to visit with Frontsight since they've been a great supporter and are known to run extremely kick ass courses!!! This is my first trip to the Shot Show as well, but I don't mind sacrificing time walking around in awe to blow some stuff apart in awe. [=D] [=D] [=D] Would be nice for all of us to hit the course and then meet up for a SuperBowl hangout and dinner!!! (Go Rams!!!) |
| If there is enough people who want to commit we could reserve a place somewhere. We get there Friday so we are open but, I think either a Saturday night or a Superbowl party somewhere would be great. I know a place off the strip that is great especially if you are a Jimmy Buffett fan. The owner puts on a comedy show on Friday and Saturday nights that are outstanding! www.tommyrocker.com Where is everybody staying? Stokes, The Mall Ninja, and I are staying at Circus Circus. Let me know if the interest is there and how many are going and maybe we can set it up. |

Wife and I stayed a few days at Circus Circus a few years ago... Very nice place and everything you need is there in the hotel... Fancy steak house, shoppes, and small amusement park... (Rooms are cheap too) Our room window was right across from a bunji jumping place... I was even more convinced it was something I NEVER wanted to try... TV only shows people jump, then shows them getting out of the gear... I got to watch them bounce 100+ feet in the air a dozen+ times till they finally slowed enough to get down... Oh, by the way... We got married at Circus Circus in the chapel downstairs [:D] |

Quoted: Circus Circus sounds about right. It seems like that's where I'm staying too... You're not bringing your backpack are you? 1907 Frenchman Paul Cornu designs first helicopter, flying it for a few seconds. First blood transfusion. Leo Baekeland discovers plastic. Colour photography invented by Auguste and Louis Lumiere. |

Quoted: If you haven't been to SHOT show before, it will take AT LEAST 2 whole days to go through the whole thing. Don't forget to hit the big revolving brochure stands in the convention center lobby and the New Product Showcase in the back. Hmmmmmmmm - 1923 Swiss John Harwood invents the self-winding watch. Jacob Schick patents the electric shaver. 16mm home movie camera is launched by Kodak. Frank Epperson invents the popsicle when he leaves his lemonade mix on a windowsill overnight. |

Quoted: Circus Circus sounds about right. It seems like that's where I'm staying too... [red]DON'T EAT THERE!!!!!!![/red] Whatever you folks do, don't eat at the C2! Walk across the street, whatever, the inconvenience is not worth your life! The Ginseng Korean BBQ, across from the Stardust, has a nice all-you-can-eat sushi deal, BTW. (One hour max, limited selection -- but there's a lot of sushi within that limit!) |

For those of you new to visiting Las Vegas I will tell you a few must see hotels while in town 1. Mandalay Bay 2. Venetian 3. Paris 4. Bellagio 5. Luxor 6. MGM 7. Treasure Island 8. New York-New York 9. Ceasars Palace 10. Mirage If possible take a cab around and see some or all of these hotels, lot of people come to Vegas and think Circus Circus and the Sahara are the "nice" hotels....hell the Bellagio cost 1.6 BILLION yes BILLION to build, take a cab and check it out, or walk around and see the strip and take a cab back to your room, the south end of the strip is amazing! P.S. If you have kids don't try and go to Bellagio, unless your staying there they won't let kids in :) |

Quoted: Quoted: 1GunRunner, just let me know what you planned, I'll try to tag along. I'll help you out too man. I've been to Vegas probably a dozen times now. Got a fake ID? We'll take you down to Olympic Gardens for the best show in town. [bounce] As another Vegas veteran, I'll second Olympic Gardens. Also, it is mandatory to visit The Crazy Horse II on your first trip to Vegas. Wish I was going with you guys! |
|
I'll make sure to haul a camera for some new MallNinja pics.. especially if we all get out to frontsite!!! Get your reservations in ASAP! They will notify you by mail... you may want to call them to let them know you're an AR15.Com guy and get a verbal confirmation!!! Everything I hear about these guys has been great, so I look forward to it. When we get back we'll throw up a review and get everyone to kick in their thoughts! |

Looks like I'm pulling an all-nighter on Saturday night! [:D] If the wife wasn't going, I would be right there with ya!!! Since I haven't taken her on a trip in a while, I'm being a "good boy" this year. ]=) |

Anyone going from Circus Circus to FS Academy on Sunday? I'd like to tag along with someone for the Frontsight class, especially if you're headed to the SB party afterwards-The rest of the days, I'll be at the SHOT show with Cavalry Arms. Let me know if your car/whatever you're taking to FS will hold one more. Juggernaut |
|
Quoted: I'm in the same boat as you Juggernaut, I'll be at circus circus and need a ride to frontsite. Being under 25 I don't want to get raped on a rental but would be willing to help pay if we could carpool with someone. Oh yeah- duh. I forgot. Me too, helping to defray the cost of the rental is ok with me too-I just don't want to rent it myself. Juggernaut |

Good to see all of you guys coming out this weekend! I'll be one of the instructors for the Free SMG Class, so I will see you all there. Also, check out the new Front Sight Forum under the industry section and feel free to post your thoughts and experiences: http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?id=102 |

Quoted: Quoted: Would someone be willing to pick me up the 2002 loading data booklets at the show? I would be willing to pay for shipping. Do you reload for the .38 or the .22? Ya I reload for .38. The only way I get to shoot other guns is if I reload for the guy next door. |
