I watch these videos of low-drag guys firing semi-auto carbines rapidly while on the move, and it looks like the rifle stays perfectly still in their arms and every round hits its target.  When I stand still and fire my AK74 with its puny recoil, it takes me close to a second to get the sights on target and get another good shot off.  Is my form wrong?  Does it just take practice?  Is it something they teach in carbine courses?

Your stance will make a huge difference in controlling recoil while firing. A strong fighting stance makes a world of difference.

Yes it does take practice and a good carbine class will teach you the proper way.

Square up with the target to get more mass behind the rifle.

Start shooting at a local 3-gun match. Most of the other shooters will be more than willing to help and you will get lots of trigger time on each firearm.

Why are you setting the bar so low?

I raise your rapid fire AK to a Benelli M1:

If your talking about walking and running wile shooting, try running and shooting with a exaggerated knee bend. It will take a lot of the rebound from your rifle, keeping it on target better when ever you step.
