I want to get a "small" concrete pad put in behind my house. Right outside my back door.  Dimensions are roughly 16ft long by 10ft wide.  What sould i expect to pay.  The ground is lvl and access to the area is easy and lvl. I have a guy coming over for a qoute next week.

Around 4.00 psf is ballpark for homeowner prices around here.     I'm a builder, so I pay less....in the 2.35 psf range.   These prices don't include fill.

I had a patio (14 x 28) poured a couple of years ago and the guy did it for around $4.00 a square foot.  He initially quoted a lot more, but I was able to get him to that.  I really think it depends on your location and how busy (hungry) the contractor is.  If the price is astronomical, you could also buy the materials (Rebar, Form Boards, etc), have your buddies bring their wheelbarrows, and have the concrete truck just bring it your house.

A hair over 2 yards of concrete if you want a 4" slab runs around  $100 a yard delivered in my area. Then if you plan on doing it yourself pretty cheap otherwise break open the piggy bank.

$4 a s.f. if it is formed and I don't need three amigos with shovels to place it...... Call around concrete guys sometimes work cheap if you pay cash....some will also trade guns for labor.  Sounds like it should be gravy if you can get a mixer truck to it....
