I did not enjoy it. The story seemed disjointed and sometimes incomprehensible (maybe you need to read the comics?). Acting was poor. The only redeeming factor was the unique art/style.

I watched it on Netflix.

Stupid, worthless, dumb story, weak characters and totally unbelievably bad.

In other words, IT SUCKED! Couldn't make it past 25 minutes.

It's amazing to me that Frank Miller can produce such great things in art form, but then suck so hard when his ideas hit the big screen.

The only exception for me is "300".

I think Will Eisner would have been pretty pissed at FM for his treatment of "The Spirit" properties.

FWIW I have not seen the movie, nor will I. I was excited about it 'til I saw the previews.

I started watching, stopped about 40 minutes in. I don't do that often. It was pretty lame, didn't pull me in at all.

Yes, there is one good scene that lasts less than three seconds, but the rest is forgettable.

as a fan of the comic the movie really really sucked.

I hated the Spirit comic. It is so dated and tame. Hopefully the movie is a little more action packed.
