Let Rosco grab an alligator snapper like the one in vid below. He'll have a reason to yell then! After it takes a foot off.

While we are on the topic, what is the best way to trap one? I will not be utilizing his method!!!! Easiest way to get regular sized common snapping turtles is to go wading and pick them up by the tail. You can also net them or catch them on a line. I'm thinking along the lines of more conventional traps vs.stalking tem, e.g. a live trap or a trot line. What is the best bait to lure them in and best placement, in water or on the bank? |

Catch some panfish and then string them up. In the water. |

I bet just about any good sized live trap would work. I've seen cylindrical traps used to catch turtles and other stuff, but not sure where people get those. |
