I mean if one splits with a gf, not that big of a deal, split with a wife, alimony, debt, child support etc. To go further do men ever get the children in a custody battle? |

You're perfectly, 100% free to spend your life attached to no one through legal or financial obligation. And, you can wash your own clothes, take care of yourself when you feel bad, cook your own meals, talk to yourself, sleep with your pillow, and jerk off until you're 90. When you're in a nursing home, no one will bother you. Marriage is not for everyone. |

If you want to have children, then you should get married. If you're getting married, you really should consider looking for a wife who's from a different cultural background––other than American.
American women have been socialized to be very poor wives, in my opinion. No give...and all take. IMO. Just look at the social trends. As women get "more rights", better pay, more options, different expectations, etc....the divorce stats skyrocket. I'll get flamed for typing it, but that's the way it is. Women are told that they deserve everything...and men are told to sit down and shut up. Do what you're gonna do. Most guys end up getting married and end up with someone and something they didn't count on...and then they're screwed. Ask around. |

Until it happens to them... Some of them, I'm guessing, are the Churchie-Mc Church types. They don't like it when you point out that in every recent study performed, divorce in the "christian" community is statistically HIGHER than non-churchie types. So don't let that moral argument sway you. Speaking of morals, why are the highest adult consumers of pornography married christian males? Because they're getting enough in marriage? Hmm...probably not. When men are being treated as they are today by the courts, the counselors, and society in general, all bets are off. DO NOT GET MARRIED IN THE UNITED STATES!!!! Edited to add: Ever notice how many threads on this website have the whole "SWMBO" or "the wife found out" or "the wife let me buy this new xyz" or some other obvious tell about who really wears the pants?  Hi-larious!!
