My DVD player is built into my tv (Toshiba model MW27FPX). On most DVD's it works fine. On some, it will play and then pause, often for several minutes, before it starts playing again. Is this a memory issue, or is it just a defective unit? The DVD's that do this play on another DVD player just fine.
I am ready to go and buy another DVD player, but just wanted to check with the Arfcom braintrust first. |

A lot of the times its the ribbon cable that connects the laser to the mother board. They become intermittant.
What we do is wiggle them around, clean them with alcohol or a pencil eraser, and try to make the connection as strong as possible. Sometimes it doesn't work and we have to replace the unit. |
