How many people right now are trolling? How many genuinely enjoy the forum?
This being an anonymous poll, don't reply if you don't want to be outed as a troll. No pie option, I want to make this as "scientific" as possible. EDIT: I really have no idea how "support a nuke?" wound up as the thread title originally. |

Oh, you mean here at arfcom. Nope, I won't do it here. I enjoy trolling on youtube. this is more to see, on average how many trolls we have (that will admit it) on the board. I figure there cant be that many, but there's enough to make my blood pressure rise. |

I enjoy the forums. My Team status lapsed, and I've just been too lazy to dig out the credit card yet.
Though what I find here, and this is true for just about any forum, is that most people don't know the difference between trolling, hijacking, and an opposing opinion. Especially in GD. I know this is true for myself, though when I'm in GD, I don't take things seriously or personally. These forums are much more lax, however, which I feel is a good thing. A lot of other forums sweep dissenting opinion away as if it holds no value, which is completely untrue. Some people can't handle this, and they get riled up beyond rational thought. And then there is the inherent problem with things like your poll. Yes, in theory, since it is anonymous people should answer it truthfully. However, if you've spent more than 5 minutes on the internet, you know that audience + anonymity = fucktard. The more anonymous something is, the less people can be held accountable for their actions, the more fucktardism sets in. There's not much you can do to "out" someone as a troll with it, it offers complete anonymity (to the general user base), so people have next to no motivation to give you a serious response. Some people just want to watch the world burn, and some only do it when no one is looking. |
