I made a big pot of ham n' beans with the remainder of my Easter ham. I used anasazi beans, they rock. Taste better'n pintos, produce much less gas, cook faster, and don't need soaking overnight.
Anasazibeansdotcom Their spices, chiles and such are good too, as is their popcorn. I've seen the anasazi beans for sale at King Soopers (Kroger's) and Safeway too. |

The bride and I decided to add beans to our 'preps', but had only made 15 bean soup from dried beans. I soaked a bag of pintos one evening, and made re-fried beans. That was some good eating. Impressed with this new found wonder, I made some spanish rice to go with it. Dinner for 7 for about $3, and no one was complaining. Pinto's are gooooood! |
