This being the United States of America, upon reaching the age of majority you shall be issued an ar-15. Upon one's death, the return of the ar-15 shall be considered payment in full for any and all estate/death taxes.
Try to pervert the intent of this one. |

The age of majority for the purposes of the second amendment begins at 25 and ends at 18. Since you don't have an AR-15 to return upon your death, your estate will be confiscated to care for your descendants' stay in the debtors' prison. There. EDIT: Seriously, if Congress can twist "shall not be infringed" to not prohibit the kinds of laws in DC, there's no rewrite that can't be perverted. |

This new 2nd amendment sucks. |

This being the United States of America, upon reaching the age of majority, depending on ones state, you shall be issued an ar-15 or whatever weapon light infantry is issued at the time . Upon one's death, the return of the weapon shall be considered payment in full for any and all estate/death taxes. Congress, the Senate and the states shall make no law against the right to keep and bear arms even with amendment to the Constitution of these United States. You forgot the part about it being a right, without that your version means nothing. You also forgot the part about no infringement, again without that your version means nothing. Maybe you just need to work this into the tax code somehow. check it out. though, there were those who didnt want the Bill of Rights simply because they thought writing out the rights we had would cause our govt to find ways around them. |

If we didn't have the bill of rights our government would have found a way to relieve us of our rights, hell even with the bill of rights our government is finding a way to relive us of our rights. Same destination, different route. |

But this thread reminds me to remind you...
Write to your representatives to let them know you oppose HR45 (gun registration), SB843 (criminalization of private transfers), the DDTC, and ITAR. Suggested text: Honorable [NAME]: As your constituent, I would like to inform you of my uncompromising and absolute opposition to HR45 (gun owner and gun registration), SB843 (criminalization of private transactions), and any legislation, treaty, policy, initiative, organization, bureaucrat, or politician that seeks to subvert the United States Constitution by infringing upon my right to keep and bear arms. Specifically, I oppose the following at every level of government:
Where do you stand on gun registration and/or licensing and other gun control, and what specific action(s) will you take to safeguard my right to keep and bear arms and repeal unjust laws already in place, so that I can advise my family, friends, and acquaintances regarding your commitment to the Constitution? Respectfully, [YOUR NAME] [ADDRESS] Did I miss anything? |

There would be a lot of ambiguity around what level of "milspec" was intended. You should specifically name Colt. |

/thread if the wording is so perfect we wouldnt be talking about this. you and i may think that t is all that we need but thats not the case with the avg person/ |

(Hopefully we can move past that post-Heller. Hopefully.) Not a swipe at the Founders, God bless 'em, for they couldn't have foreseen how that debate would go over the years –– but had it read as I have it above I dare say we wouldn't have been backed as far away from the original intent as we have over the years and the "average person" you refer to would be much more squared away about the meaning of RKBA. JMHO, YMMV. |
