First off, I am completely against torture. Obama was smart in not seeking retribution for it, but now he is being forced to. These idiots just don't get it. Now they have set a VERY dangerous prescident. Now after a democratic or republican administration, we will start having this tit-for-tat bullshit where the new admin will find someone to prosecute the old administration on. In 4 years years, they are in for a real shitstorm in a Republican gets elected.

We executed Japanese troops for torturing our GIs in WW2........ I'm also sure you wouldn't approve of how the POWs were treated by the Vietcong.....

What does this have to do with the Bush administration?

Careful there.

After the 2004 Presidential Election we were asking if the results meant that the Democrats were going to be the 21st Century's Whig Party.

We really don't want to get over confident.

If you consider waterboarding to be torture you atleast have to admit that it is nearly the most mild form.....

No one is advocating torture for entertainment.  However, you can't ignore reality.

Political correctness will be the death of this nation.

I guess for some, it is torture when it was done in Vietnam against our troops. But when it is used by the US in the war on terror........

But i'm not even talking about what is or isn't torture. This thread was about the stupidity of the Democrats to go after the old administration over this. Now this will start off a chain reaction where all the newer admins will just prosecute their predecessors whenever they did something they didn't approve of.

Anything to keep people focused on Bush and not his shameful power grab.Frankly I hope the repubs do go after them when the pendulum swings back. Give them a taste of their own fucking medicine.

You are just like them . . . willing to benefit from the effects, but unwilling to do what it takes to get the job done.

Obama instigated this and simply left himself with plausible deniability.  Grow up and get off the kool-aid.

The methods of "Torture" we use are completely different from the REAL torture our enemies were and ARE more than happy to perform on Americans.  I don't think we practice bamboo shoots under fingernails and cutting off heads.

"Torture" as the left calls it, has worked to stop more than one attack in the last 8 years.  Guess next time we'll just let 'em have L.A. and the Brooklin Bridge.  But fuck it, 10,000 American lives are worth it, if we don't torture one terrorist with knowledge that could stop the attack.

NO I dont approve but neither do I approve of these animals that will slowly saw the head off a news reporter with a dull knife
smiling and filming all the while,
waterboarding is torture but not
noise is torture but not
light deprivation is torture but not.
NOTHING DONE to the current bunch of "pow" has caused permenant damage, premanent harm, bought them near death or left them missing body parts.
I have no issue condoning this, hell Ive been waterboarded, beaten and abused doing SERE training 35 years ago, still standing up right and sleep nights

I have seen real torture, skinning, burning, branding electtrocution by the Yards and associates, dont condone it but know of a dozen guys personally still walking around..
so.

wheres the line to say NO NEVER or Hey maybe,,

besides you didnt answer my questions.
kids missing
millions dead, conviince me to be  the better man

There is a vast difference between torture and torment. Torment is an effective tool for interrogation. And let us keep in mind that we are speaking of war tactics and not police tactics.
