It's just on 6 boards in my garage.

It looks like water might have gotten in at some point?

Up close

Is it strange it's not spreading?

Should I just tear them out and replace them? Thanks in advance, I know nothing of mold.

Looks like concrete residue, like those boards were part of concrete forms once.

I would not worry.

Next question, why would they use such ugly ass boards?

Still holding shit up, are they not?

Why discard boards just because they looked funky? I've been in attics that might have rough-looking boards, but I think I could park my truck on some of those roofs.

They're still waiting on you to finish it out. Get your lazy ass to Home Depot and pick up some drywall!

If it was mold growing it would be spread over the whole area not single pieces like that.
