[ARCHIVED THREAD] - First Dinner pic.......ELK! (Page 1 of 2)

Man you're testing me with this one.
You killed it, grilled it and ate it so technically you get an automatic 10. Your AR is unloaded, there are no reloads for either the AR or the pistol, unless you're firing the AR as a single shot. Normally these violations could not be overlooked but you did kill it... |

I carry my G26 with a spare mag on my body, my AR with a Beta-C mag in it and 3 30 round mags for reloads, I also bring my G21 with 2 spare mags to dinner, my SOG Flash II, a small buck knife, a Keltec P3at on my ankle and my Sig P226 in one hand. You'd have to meet my wife to understand.

No, I don't want to seem like I'm paranoid or something. I've been using old fashioned tiger traps.

well done,
those uncooked steaks look great, ive never had elk so forgive me for this question. can they just be seasoned and thrown on the grill like a beef steak and taste good? or is the frying a must? id give you and 11 if you had used the same knife you dressed him with to eat him hah. so you get the lowley 10 |

Nice elk!
Auto-10 for killed/butchered/cooked before hunting gets banned as an unsafe food source. B2 For critique, I'd say ditch that "Season All" and make your own... Many sources depending on taste, but the "Dillo Dust" works good too. Great job on the "correct" amount of oil to properly fry pan steaks; I know some will say it needed to be ALL bacon grease, but that somehow overpowers the delicate taste of naturally infused pine, juniper and sage we all know and love out west. (Hmm, a bit mixed in always works well...) Oh yeah, tell that woman to get that "smell good" candle the hell away from God's Country food! |
