My dream house/retirement home would have some type of alternative power source (solar/wind/whatever), a water tower, and diesel generators...No phones and away from "friendly neighbors". If I do everything right, there shouldn't even be a need to have a mailbox at the end of the driveway...No bills, no flyers, and no telemarketers.
