Went to Tulsa today to help a vendor with his setup.  Then roamed around for a few hours to see
what the damages were going to be.

Ar's...  One guy had some colt le 6220's for $2400..  A couple others had them for $1999.00 and had some quantity
along with other models.  DPMS, RRA, and Bushys, good quantities from $900 to $1200 depending on how they were
rigged out.

Lowers...  Kinda scarce, saw a few but were like $225..    $299 to $350 with trigger group, over $400 with stocks.
But overall there were not very many on display at all.  But, not everyone was completely set up either.

Uppers...  A couple of the big guys that are always there were set up but had the tables covered.  The rest I saw
were $600 and up and then waaay up.....

Beef Jerky....  At least 3 seperate vendors with large assortments of all species and flavors.

Jewelery...  More vendors than the beef jerky folks, but thats not something I care to dwell on...

Shamwa????  None at all that I could see..  Maybe they are coming in late tonight???

Shotguns and other Fudd Guns...  Plenty of them everywhere.  I suspect that many of them have had several birthdays
at this show and or others...

Knives and samori swords..  Plenty  (Nuff said)

Ammo: Here's where it get's bizzare.....  I have never seen such a selection of 22LR ammo before!!  All the bigger dealers had
it stacked everywhere!!  Wasn't cheap but they they had plenty...    I'm guessing they stocked up on that because of the shortages
on everything else lately..   32 auto.  Sparse but did find some for my son.  380 auto....  Anywhere from $30 to $65 per box of 50
"IF" they had any.  Some dealers just put up a sign that said "NO 380" so they didn't have to answer all the questions. Did find one
dealer that had mass quantities of reloads.  $20 for his 380 and it all went away in less than the two minutes that I was standing
there waiting to get a few.....     38 Special and 357,  scattered around and not particularily overpriced.  9mm, Plenty of wolf
for 30 cents a round and then on up for anything brass cased.   The reload dealer had 1k bulk 9mm in a can for $190.
40 and 45...  I don't use it so didn't pay attention.

223....  Centurion Brass Cased $475 per 1000 in bulk.  ( Bot the same stuff there last fall for $340 and thought that was high at the time)
Silver Bear  $275 for 700...  Brown Bear a bit less but forgot the actual....   Plenty of Wolf scattered around from 43 cents a round and upwards.

Plenty of Fudd ammo but since nobody uses much of it anyway there wasn't any big surprises there.
Any other calibers,... I don't use so didn't pay attention to the prices..

Sooo, there ya have it...   Ironic thing that happened though.  As I am leaving, heading back home my son (LEO) calls and tells me he is
standing in a local gun shop and they just got in a shipment of 380.  I say, "Get me a case"  He says, "They only will let you buy one box"
I said " You are in uniform, badged up and they still won't do more than one box?"  He says "Yep"  So, he picks up one box and his buddy
along with him picks up one.  When I get back to town my buddy and I stop and get one each..  It was hard to walk out of there leaving
at least 40 more boxes on the shelf.......

Anyhow, I hope this helps anyone that is thinking about heading to Tulsa tomorrow..........

Be interesting to see how many of them sell, I'm betting a lot.

As for the .22 ammo - was it the bulk packs from WalMart being resold?

Soooooooo, what does being a cop have to do with buying more than one box of ammo?

Actually, there is an indoor range associated with this particular shop.  I'm betting if you were shooting there you could
buy all you wanted....

No, not at all..  Cases upon cases of Aguila, Winchester, other Federal bricks but not
the stuff from waldo world..

So the lowest price AR they had was around $900?

Do you remember how it was configured?  Basic 16", fixed front site post, typical collapsable stock?
Brand?

$900 for a basic AR doesn't sound that bad considering the political climate.  I know well before the election
that show had vendors selling basic AR's for $650 but that was the April before the Nov. elections.....

Even right after the elections at that show they had basic AR's for $750.  I missed out on that one.  I drove
home that Sunday from the show thinking how I should have picked up 2 of those....

So why would their life be more valuable versus some average Joe Schmuck's?
