Have a quick question. I have always bought used atv's. Well I finally got a new King Quad 750. I rode it just down the road for a function test. It was smoking out the tail pipe. It smelled terrible like some type of chemical. Is this normal or is something wrong. I think that it is just the new parts burning off a little but not sure. It had no miles before I rode it.

Thanks I wasn't sure if I had messed it up already.

Follow break in procedure like the manual says. My Kawi Brute Force 650 V-Twin I broke in by varying speeds a lot and not getting on it all until 500 miles on it.

What you smelled was all the break in lubes burning up, they smoke a bit too.

Just break her in nice and easy for the first few tanks of fuel, 10ish hours and it will be fine.

Congrats on the new quad.

Thanks guys. I am looking forward to trying it out. What little I got to ride was great. It has so much power compared to my Honda 350.

Suzukis are by far my favorite bike maker. I own a motorcycle shop, so I see them all. Honda is a close second.

I like suzuki also. I had one of the first ones. It was called a quad runner I think. That thing was fun as hell, but it didn't have any shocks on the back. That thing would  beat you to death. It ran great but man it would kill you to ride it a day.
