Would you guys be interested in having one?  I would love to have one.  General Outdoors doesn't really seem to be specific enough to backpackers.  I'll even volunteer to moderate it if need be.  Yay or nay?

I would definitely be interested.

Only if you admit that Kifaru is the master.

Pushing for a forum is a lot more sensible if you're a Team Member...  Of course, who am I to criticize?  Mine ran out last week and I'm waiting for payday on Tues to renew...  In any case, this link is provided for your enjoyment!

I don't know what or who this Kifaru character is.

Why don't you just post it in the General Outdoor Discussion?

LOL!

My Arc'Teryx, GoLite and even Camelback packs are all better than the Marauder I bought and promptly returned.

ETA: And no, I'm not interested in such a forum.  The Outdoor forum is good enough.  Would we have a hiking boot forum too? Forget it.

ooops... sorry... I swear I didn't see team in your name.

My link is a story to my hike in 2005 from Lake Tahoe to Yosemite.  I posted it here previously, but its buried way deep in the archives now.

As much as I love backpacking, I think that the General Outdoors forum covers it well enough.  There's certainly no shortage of dedicated backpacking forums out there.

I strongly support the idea.

I agree... however, maybe we can add a few more to our numbers.  I know several people that I could get to join up.  The site might just rub off on them in a good way.

Shameless bump.
