I went to the gun show in Springfield, Missouri yesterday.  This gun show was a lot bigger than the previous ones.  There was a good, but not great, supply of primers, and a good supply of different powders.  There was no shortage of AR style rifles as there were a large number of new AR15s for sale, many were well under $1,000.  There was no evidence of an ammo shortage either.  The Silver Bear ammo supply train must have stopped by because it seemed like everyone had 500 round cases of Silver Bear .223 and .308 for sale.  There was also a large supply of Brown Bear 9mm  and .308 ammo.  There was a lot of bulk pack .22 ammo for about $18.00 per 500 round box.  There was a very good supply of other factory made ammo, including .45 auto.  The one caliber of I couldn't find any of is .380 auto.  Wolf small rifle primers were $23.50 per thousand. Winchester large rifle primers were $30.50 per thousand. Silver Bear .223 was right at $200.00 per 500, .308 was $10.00 per box of 20. Brown Bear 9mm was $109.00 per 500. Winchester primers have gone up $5.00 per thousand since the show in January. Wolf has gone up about $2.00 per thousand.

Sounds like MAYBE "supply" is catching up with "demand."

I'm real glad to hear that re-loading supplies are starting to be available, it was
real slim pickins' for a while. I had piss-poor timing getting back into reloading,
let me tell you

Thank you, Sir, for the AAR. Maybe I'll start going back to gunshows, now.

I was there. I almost had a fucking panic attack due to the 3 billion people in attendance. Why they don't open up the other side of the e plex I don't know.

Plenty of deals. 417 had Stag arms complete AR's for like 1000-1100. I couldn't find a NIB 6920 for under 1650.

I am getting really fucking tired of people at the gunshow selling jewlery and sham wow and stupid fucking shit like that. It's a fucking gun show. It would make things less crowded if these people were gone.

I noticed a LOT of NIB WASR 10's for $675-700. I don't know what that means but apparently AK's are still up there.

I was there. Spent $780 with Joe, the big reload supplier. He's better stocked than anyone I've heard of for hundreds of miles and 5% or more cheaper than the nearest competitor. Good stockpiles of ammo too. Prices have jumped a bit in just 2 weeks from the same people, $145 2 weeks ago .223 was $160/500 and only in 1000 rd cases, $320.
No .308 guns, especially no heavy barrels. Only fudd guns and Ruger 10/22 coming in the door. Very few of those.
Some exceptions I'm sure.
Did find one good .308, Polytech, $1000, close to new. Shit, a year ago these were what? $600-$700?
Did some trading and out the door.
Good companion to the preban Loaded I'm sposed to get in 2 weeks.
Dropped $2500 or so yesterday........Shit is getting expensive.

Yes, good news indeed! This lunacy needs to stop so we can all get back to target shooting and enjoying our guns. I can't remember the last time I shot my guns on account of serious concerns about ammo supply and availability.
