Wife says drink it or get rid of it, clean out the cabinet, been going through allot of the stuff- came across a 1978 bottle of Williams and Humbert Cream Sack, (sherry) what do I have here?  Battery acid or?

It is an Oloroso Sherry from Spain, imported.
Have no idea where I got it.

Will it make me go blind?

Think it would be safe to drink?

Beam Black is $40+ so if this can fit in the rotation with no damage....

The only way to find out is to taste it.

If it is unopened it should be fine depending on how it was stored.

about your response,

Am I paying too much for the Beam?

It is what I drink "un mixed".  I usually buy whatever is on sale for "mixed" evening drinks.  I can not drink beer any more; as I got older I began to notice I got heartburn after a few beers.  The light came on after enjoying 1 glass slowly with a nice dinner.  It was a dark beer.  Just about could not walk out of there, the indigestion/heartburn was that bad.  No beer- no problems.  Beer-problems.  Sucks getting old
