The "Hillside Strangler's" gun:
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=124837518 It ought to be illegal to do this. |

The gun is a piece of history, albeit a macabre one. OJ Simpson writing a book about how he "would have" killed Nichole? That I have a problem with, since the criminal is profiting from the crime. |

I guess because of stuff like this: http://www.lowbrowartworld.com/serial_sale05.html http://www.murderauction.com/ They shouldn't be glorified, just executed and forgotten. |

Well like I said before, you’re just giving reasons why you are against it. You’re not giving any reasons on why it should be illegal. |

Bianchi and Buono raped and tortured 12 year old girls to death. I'm not saying it should be illegal, but for the life of me I can't understand why anyone would want something from that pair. I'm not interested in that particular gun, but people think I'm nuts because I have a k98 with swastikas on it *shrugs* |

Yeah you're saying exactly what i said when all those D-bag t-shirts and movies about sept 11 came out, how much of the profit from them actually went to people/cops/firemen/paramedics that helped during the disaster. I'm betting less then 5% |

You summed that up very well. People get odd about this sort of stuff though... just like WWII German stuff, yet Japanese stuff hardly raises an eyebrow. I'm not one who tries to forget history. I see a Carcano rifle and one thing comes to mind, now should I not own one because of that? Theres a big market for John Wayne Gacy's art, too... I'm not into that, but I don't think I have any problem with it. |

Honestly, I don't think it has to do with their exact actions, but more their notoriety in history. I see it as similar to a pocket knife owned by Billy The Kid, or a firearm that belonged to Al Capone. And in that respect I don't see it as being much different to a Space Pen that John Glenn used in orbit.

Being acquitted doesn't mean he didn't do it, and the civil courts seemed to feel he's liable. |
