| Anyone have experience with DNA paternity testing? A good friend of mine has located her biological father and would like to get a test done to make sure. I've found several services online where you send in swabs and they call you with results. Has anyone used these or know someone who has? |

I have a college friend that works at Sorenson genomics here in UT.
It's pretty straight forward. You can buy the test kit, do a buccal swab, then send in the swab and wait for results. IIRC Sorenson looks at variable long tandem repeats (VLTRs) to do their paternity testing. |

I ahve heard this one is pretty straight forward, but results wont stand in court (unless that has recently changed) as its a home based kit. But will give you the usual % like an in house one..
