close if a dupe.
The Utah house today passed HB 357 (lolz) Basicaly allowing people without a criminal record to carry open or concealed on their property AND in their car or another persons car as long as the owner gives permission. ( No CCW required) ...And so it begins ... |

I have always been under the school of thought that if someone is such a threat to the public that their 2A is stripped from them then they should be locked up or executed. Dangerous criminals don't obey gun laws.
ETA: If you are free in society than you have shown that you can be trusted not to harm others and should have 2A restored if not then you should not be free to roam. ETA2:I read this wrong I thought it said with a crimnal record.

You can' already? I mean it's YOUR house, YOUR car. I thought Utah was one of the relatively free state, I don't get it. You need/needed a CCW to carry loaded concealed or open in a car. Unless this passes. Yes you could on your own property carry open, but there has been an unintended technicality about carrying concealed in your own house that this bill aims to fix. But the main thing is you can get in a car with your friends, and for example, head to the range and carry loaded guns on you regardless if you have a CCW or not. Makes me feel a lot safer when heading out to the salt flats or around utah lake |
