I got some .cbr (comic book reader, I think) files. Can somebody hook me up with a site where I can download the program to read 'em?

Now I need a free program to unzip everything. I have a free trial version of winzip, but it stopped letting me unzip files and wants me to register and pay for it now.

What OS you running?   XP has unzipper built in.  Right click is your friend.

Vista. And my desktop PC (before it got fried by a power surge) ran XP and it had no unzipper built in.

I unzipped the cbr viewer from sourceforge (the .cbr files don't need unzipping), but nothing fucking happens when I try to open my comics. It wasn't this fucking difficult when I did it on my other computer (over a year ago).

I am not very familiar with Vista but surely its has the capability to unzip files. With XP all you do is either double click on the file and then drag and drop or right click on the file and "extract all"  I have never seen an XP OS that did not have this functionality..   This is for zip files not rar files though.

You need CDisplay.

It's a viewer that doesn't require unzipping anything. You just open the file with the program and you can page through the file like a pdf.

I've been told elsewhere that I can read the .cbr files using Winrar (which I now have) if I convert the files from .cbr to .rar first. How do I do that?

I'm going with the CDisplay option first (I think it's what I had on my other PC), but I'd like to know.

ETA: CDisplay works, thanks.
