yeah also some of the rounds didn't penetrate the windshield, wonder if it was a SMG and not a rifle?

The video and pics are two separate shootings.

This is the story behind the still pics. I have no idea where the video is from.     http://www.thegunzone.com/mos/schertz.html

BTW:  The shooter was a CHL holder on his way to kill officers at another dept.

The video tape is from a Richards PD chase and shootout, and the police car is from a different agency.

Look at the top of the video it says "RPD"

Then look at the police car it looks something like "Schertz" PD.

Both were unrelated.

ETA: here is a snip from the actual article:
A 48-year-old Bulverde man was charged with attempted capital murder
Friday
after he fired at a Schertz police officer, spraying his patrol car with
more than 30 rounds, authorities said.

The man, identified as Michael Patrick Kennedy, used an AK-47 assault
rifle
and a handgun to open fire on Officer Richard Kunz during a traffic stop
Thursday night, according to an arrest affidavit.

Kunz managed to take cover behind his patrol car and returned fire,
striking
Kennedy three times in the back and neck, officials said.

Whats the big deal? They were just trying to get to Fry's electronics for a good deal on a HDTV. Those things go fast! If you're not there when the store opens, you're pretty much hosed!

that was rediculously close to my place!

How in the world did he not take at least one round in the head from that?  He must have ducked when the two came through the windshield coming for his head.

I have to assume the two that are headed for the seat back were stopped by his vest (I hope).

ETA:  Oh, now I see...  vid isn't of the car in the still pics
