Have you seen mass panic? I haven't but have witnessed it once on a small scale.
You would not be able to tell the difference. It's every man for himself. Just don't let people know that you have the goods to keep you going in tough times. They will come knocking. |

Depending on what type of S hit the F.
If the shit was not immediatly life threatening to the prisoners they would probably get them into their cells and lock the prison down. From there they would probably stay for a good long while as once whatever happened got to the prison walls I don't think any CO's would want to let them out as I am sure they would be rioting in their cells already. Flooding the toilets, setting crap on fire, cursing the guards, ect..ect.. OTOH if the Shit was something like Katrina, they would load them up and try to transpo them to another facility. Now if the situation gets critical once they are out of one and on the way to another, I would assume they would eventually figure out a way to escape and be loose in society, or the reminence of it. I think alot of people have no idea of what mass panic and mass hysteria look like. I see so many people saying they would share what they had with others, take in large groups of people ect..ect.. I think once things go critical your best bet is to take care of you and yours for the time being. If your neighbor was unprepared well thats their problem. The more people that know what you have, the more people you will have to fight off to keep it. Once some time goes by hopefully most of the "take what they need by any means necessary" crowd would have taken care of each other, then you can try to let more complacent people into your inner circle. |
