I accidenly hit the channel button on my TV instead of the volume button. Now I cant get to channel 3 which, IIRC, is the channel you need to set your TV on in order to watch cable. My TV now goes from channel 2 to 4. Its old, bought it in Sept 2002.

Its a Samsung that has been the best forever. Can I fix this or is it time for a new TV?

Auto program or auto search the channels in the menu.

I cant find it. I know I have it but I moved last week and I havent unpacked the boxes. I dont see why the TV would skip channels on its own. I need an excuse to buy a new TV that I dont feel like paying for right now.

Menu yes. I dug thru it and channed all of the settings to every different one and then back to the OEM setup and nothing.

U have to go on the menu then setup then add-erase channel and then manually[no remote] go up on channel 3 then highlight add and exit. The same with 4.5.6.......125!!!!

Just googled this.  May or may not work for you but...
