I'm looking for a new briefcase that can hold a 15" laptop, papers, books, and assorted items.  Needs to be durable and suitable for an office environment.  Suggestions in the $100-150 range?

Bid on a slightly used Zero Halliburton case on eBay.

They retail for big money, but sometimes you can find a bargain.

I own several pieces ranging from luggage to computer to brief cases; all top quality.

Zero Halliburton.

There is none better for a laptop, Pelican makes one which isn't too bad either.

hmmm.  Not really my style.  I would prefer codura or leather I think.  I don't need quite that much protection and would prefer more compartmentalization.

$100-$150? 1/3 of a Tumi, I guess.

Dang, you guys have good taste.  Tumi - not seeing what is so great about them.

You'll never buy another one, unless you just get tired of the one you've got. I bought my first one in 1996, and it's been around the world numerous times. Toughest piece of luggage I own. It doesn't look new, but it doesn't have a single rip, tear, gash or defect. All the zippers are intact. The only sign of wear is the end clips and pad on the shoulder strap. I bought a new one last summer because I wanted a different pocket arrangement.
